Welcome to the Environmental Nanogeochemistry Group at Queens College! Our research focuses on understanding the structure and reactivity of mineral-water interfaces to develop predictive models of their growth and dissolution behavior. We use a combination of microscopy and synchrotron x-ray scattering techniques to directly probe contaminant adsorption and the effect is has on growth/dissolution processes.
We are always looking for motivated geochemists, mineralogists, and chemists who are interested in joining our group. We are currently looking for undergraduates interested in doing research in the Spring or Summer of 2019 and graduate students interested in doing research in the Fall of 2019. Please contact Dr. Jacquelyn Bracco (email@example.com) for information on potential projects and funding.
